Yellow Cab cooks up a New York State of Mind as they embarks on another gastronomic adventure to delight pizza lovers and even today’s hardest hustlers with the launch of not just one, but five new flavors to join its roster of legendary pizzas.

Aptly called 5 Boroughs Pizza, the relatives of the iconic pizza joint’s all-time bestseller, New York’s Finest brings to the table five unique pizza flavors that capture the essence of each of New York City’s famed boroughs: Bronx, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island.

“If you love our New York’s Finest, you will definitely enjoy the 5 Boroughs Pizza. Generously topped with edge-to-edge flavors that will represent the diversity of New York, 5 Boroughs is your palatable gateway to the Big Apple,” said Elise Veloso, Senior Brand Manager for Yellow Cab Pizza Co.

Diverse yet totally dynamic, New York’s five boroughs is home to some of the world’s renowned artists, musicians, fashion designers, writers, film makers, and other influential personalities who all have inspiring stories to tell. The distinctive culture, personality, and attitude of each borough are what customers can expect to see, taste, and experience in every bite of the 5 Boroughs Pizza.

Bronx Creamy Mushroom Pizza, Yellow Cab’s first white sauce based pizza brings to fore the intense flavor of the tough and edgy community of the Bronx. This tasty variant is a creamy mix of mushroom, chicken, olives and green bell peppers.

For those craving for something more sophisticated, there’s the Manhattan Steak & Eggs Pizza. Reminiscent of the borough considered as the “center of the universe,” this variant brings together a classy mix of steak strips and eggs doused in steak sauce and topped with onions and green bell peppers.

The hip culture of Brooklyn is captured in a hefty serving of Brooklyn Spicy Seafood Pizza. It is loaded with spicy Jalapeño peppers, shrimps, crabsticks, onions, green bell peppers, tomatoes and capers.

The Queens Oriental Chicken Pizza brings to the palate a unique flavor profile with its’ combination of chicken, mushrooms, onions and pineapple, topped with spring onions and cilantro, with a sweet and tangy Oriental sauce base.

Finally, there’s Staten Island Basil & Ricotta Pizza which features crushed tomatoes topped with three cheeses and basil. This hefty mix is Yellow Cab’s Margherita Pizza with a twist, and is reflective of the more laid-back and chill atmosphere of the suburban community that has been the trademark of Staten Island.

The 5 Boroughs Pizza can be enjoyed in all Yellow Cab branches including Yellow Cab’s newest branch in Paseo De Magallanes beginning September 5, 2018 until January 31, 2019.

These are available for dine-in, takeout and delivery. Best of all, these all-new flavors can be savored at only P499 for regular size pizza, P759 for large, and P999 for the New Yorker size.

New Short Course Triathlon to Launch in June at the Inaugural Challenge Camsur!

Leverage Sports Asia, Challenge Brand race license holders in the Philippines, will launch a new short course triathlon—the Tri-Challenge Series—at the inaugural Yellow Cab Challenge CamSur half-distance triathlon this coming June.

American Brian Fleischmann was leading early in the swim part of the competition but finished sixth in the Pro Men’s field after clocking in at 4:38:58.

Yellow Cab Challenge CamSur, part of the global triathlon series by the Challenge Family and the second instalment of the brand in the Philippines, will host the very first Tri-Challenge SPRINT on June 13 with a 1km swim, 30km bike, and 6km run race course. The sprint’s race course will run through a portion of the Challenge CamSur course as it loops in and around CamSur Watersports Complex.

“We are very excited to see the expansive growth of triathlon embrace the Philippine endurance community. We believe in all of the positive attributes that the Challenge Races around the world hold dear, like its commitment to grass roots and sport development, providing the best race day experience and always giving back to the community that supports the sport of triathlon,” said David Voth, CEO of Leverage Sports Asia and Chairman of Challenge Philippines.

Multi-awarded triathlete Brian Fleischmann from Florida, USA tries to get ahead of the game after an impressive 00:23:43 record in the swim part.

Voth said that launching a shorter race course will increase the interest with the sport and encourage more people to try triathlon. He also added that Tri-Challenge series gives non-professionals the opportunity to compete at an international standard for a cheaper price.

International triathletes warm up before the start of the “tougher” Yellow Cab Challenge Philippines Subic-Bataan last Feb. 21.

“By introducing a shorter distance race, we open the sport to a broader skilled participation base. We give everyone the opportunity to compete, participate, and have fun with friends and family in a Challenge sponsored race. With that, we are hopeful that more people can experience a world-class race,” said Voth. “The Tri-Challenge SPRINT is a great, “forgiving” race held at an international standard but priced in a way that is comparable to local events, which is our way of promoting the sport and expanding the experience to the Pinoy Triathlon participants,” David said.

One of the 700 triathletes goes out of the pristine waters of Subic Bay after a successful 1.9km swim.
Despite the neck-and-neck competition in the swim part of the Yellow Cab Challenge Philippines Subic-Bataan, multi-awarded triathletes claim that Subic Bay is a sight to behold.
Triathlete pros Michael Murphy and Eric Watson try to edge out each other as they race out of the water.
Yellow Cab Challenge Philippines Subic-Bataan does not only provide picturesque view for the athletes but also organized and safe race course.
Filipino triathletes try to make the competition harder for international triathletes across from different parts of the globe.
The swim course starts from the white sand beach of Camayan Resort and ventures into Ilanin Bay where the pristine waters are home to a protected marine preserve.
Eventual winner Domenico Passuello from Livorno, Italy races his way to the transition area after finishing the 1.9km swim in 26 minutes and 29 seconds.

Challenge Ph Triathlon launches international race 'Challenge CamSur' with Yellow Cab Pizza

Challenge Philippines Triathlon launches new international race, Challenge CamSur and Yellow Cab Pizza takes title sponsorship.

Challenge Philippines is expanding its brand footprint with the announcement of a new race, Challenge CamSur set on June 14, 2015.

Earlier this year, the Challenge Philippines showcased over 729 athletes from 38 countries. Triathletes from different walks of life, including two crown princes of Bahrain, competed in the inaugural race.
Aussie Michael Murphy takes the challenge of the long & tough bike course of Challenge Philippines Bataan.
Twenty-five of the world’s fastest pro triathletes participated in the race competing for two million pesos, the largest prize purse in Asia. Among them are Australia’s Michael Murphy and other current world champions.

German pro triathlete Till Schramm who finished eighth place hammers the challenging course of the Seven Hills of Bataan.

The race’s broadcast coverage reached over 82 counties worldwide showcasing Philippines as the most desired lifestyle and sports destination.

Second place Michael Murphy talks to champion Matt Burton who finished the race with a recorded time of four hours, 26 minutes, and 53 seconds in pursuit of his 1st place share of the US$ 50, 000 Pro prize purse.

Challenge Family, owner of the global triathlon series of long and half distance races, is known worldwide for giving the most iconic and beautiful race locations. This is exemplified with the announcement of the new Challenge CamSur.

“We are honored to welcome Challenge CamSur as part of the Challenge Philippine’s Family of races. Camsur has a rich tradition and legacy in the sport of Philippine triathlons. With the passion and warmth always evident from the people of Camarines Sur supporting our athletes, it’s just amazing,” said David Voth, CEO of Leverage Sports Asia and chairman of Challenge Philippines Race.

"In celebration of a new Challenge race in CamSur and a new title sponsorship from Yellow Cab Pizza, plus it’s the 30th Anniversary of the birthplace of Challenge Family Triathlons in Roth, Germany, we will roll back Challenge Philippine's race entry prices to US$190," Voth said.

Aside from giving triathletes their ultimate racing experience, the Yellow Cab Challenge Philippines will help boost the country’s tourism, generating millions of dollars in revenue.

Famous for choosing spectacular and iconic racing locations, the global triathlon event will have its second leg in the country in two locations next year whose official partner is leading pizza chain, Yellow Cab.

"The 2014 Challenge Philippines race course in Bataan was proclaimed by many around the world as being the ‘World's Toughest Course.’ Our goal for Challenge Camsur is to design and deliver one of the fastest courses in Asia," Voth said.

“We in the province of CamSur are proud to be part of the Challenge Family Global Series and we are looking forward to host the CamSur Challenge triathlon next year as a banner event of Challenge Philippines,” CamSur Gov. Miguel Luis Villafuerte said.

CamSur Gov. Miguel Luis Villafuerte
“Being the host of the first major international triathlon event sanctioned by the World Triathlon Corporation in the country in 2009, and this was for three consecutive years until 2011, our contribution to the growth of triathlon in the Philippines is substantive. This has established for us a solid international reputation in terms of hosting world-class triathlon events.”

Villafuerte pointed out that Camsur holds a unique draw when it comes to hosting such international sporting events.

“There is strong government support and we are able to offer a complete and integrated package. To add to all these is the enthusiasm and involvement of the local residents who go out as early as 4 a.m. and line the race routes to cheer for the competitors,” Villfuerte said.

Anna Stroh, event director of Challenge Philippines and Challenge CamSur said: "Giving our athletes an opportunity to compete at highest levels, in a well-organized, safe, and beautiful destinations, is our primary goal.”

Challenge Philippines Triathlon in Subic Bay and Bataan and Challenge CamSur will be held on Feb. 21 and June 14, respectively.

The new title sponsorship with Yellow Cab Co. for Challenge Philippines and Challenge Camsur, with an initial term of 3 years, will begin immediately. The famous pizza chain has been a long-time supporter of triathlon by supporting its own team, Team Yellow Cab, and many sport development programs, including its support of Challenge Philippines in 2014 as an official partner.

"We could not ask for a better partner. Yellow Cab is symbolic of quality, passion, and a positive lifestyle that makes it a perfect fit for the Challenge brand,” Voth said.

“Being part of the Challenge Family provides an ideal platform to continue our objectives established over a decade ago, but with a wider reach. I am very delighted to have Yellow Cab on board as a Title Sponsor of the Challenge Brand in Philippines. Having supported Triathlon since 2008, having Yellow Cab as part of the Family is a wonderful match”, Challenge Director Jumbo Tayag said.
Roy Quejada, chief operating officer of Yellow Cab Co.
“The Challenge Philippines Brand and Yellow Cab share a certain status in the market. Only a few can be a triathlete, but a lot of people are aspiring to be one. Similar to Yellow Cab, customers sees the brand as aspirational, a brand that you want to be associated with,” said Roy Quejada, chief operating officer of Yellow Cab Co.

After registration, all athletes will get the chance to win a year-round season pass to select Challenge Family races including a coveted race kit to Challenge Roth in 2015.
