Shopee and Taguig LGU Provide Care Packages to Support Vaccination Efforts

Shopee, the leading e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia and Taiwan, teams up with the local government unit (LGU) of Taguig City to provide care packages that can encourage more people to get vaccinated and to express gratitude towards frontliners diligently working at the center. Last July 28-30, Shopee rolled out its vaccination center support initiative in Western Bicutan National High School by giving food, water, and health kits from Shopee and its partner brands under Shopee Mall to 1,500 frontliners, staff, and the people getting vaccinated. These included snacks from Del Monte, Perfetti Van Melle, Dutchmill Soy, Monde Nissin, and Rebisco; water from Hope in a Bottle; health kits from Mighty Clean and Colgate; and industrial fans from Symphony.

Martin Yu, Director at Shopee Philippines, said, “Shopee is committed to contributing and positively impacting the community. We are proud to partner with the Taguig LGU in their efforts to inoculate their citizens and are grateful to our brand partners who generously lend us their support in serving the Filipinos. Locally provides Taguig frontliners with immune-boosting natural juices

In true Bayanihan spirit, NutriAsia provided essential frontliners from Taguig City with Locally Blended Juice Drink.

Medical and non-medical frontliners in Taguig’s checkpoints, vaccination sites, and barangay enjoyed Locally’s blended juice drink, which are made from fruits cultivated by Filipino farmers. The drinks help the frontliners stay hydrated, energized, and protected from illness as they go about their important duties with the juices’ natural vitamin C.

Some residents in Barangay Fort also received Locally Blended juice drink. Recipients include peace and order personnel, emergency & rescue personnel, daycare students, employees of the DSWD barangay base, Health Center Personnel, barangay frontliners, and zone coordinators.

This follows NutriAsia’s donation of boxes of Locally to various hospitals around Metro Manila earlier this month.

“We are truly happy to do our part in ensuring that our brave and dedicated frontliners are hydrated and protected from all illnesses through providing delicious Locally juice drinks that boost their energy and immunity,” said Gretchen King, Category Manager for Beverages at NutriAsia.

“As we donate Locally to our frontliners, we also manage to support our local farm industry, which is key in providing the fruits we use for our drinks.”

The fight against the Covid-19 virus isn’t over. With the invisible enemy still out there, it is still best to arm ourselves with the immunity boost that vitamin C provides.

Locally has been handing out immunity and energy-boosting natural fruit juices to medical personnel, local government units, mobile markets, military staff, mobile kitchens, and more around the metro since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Together, we can all help each other out in healing and rebuilding our nation. Together, we can all help each other out in healing and rebuilding our nation.

Over the past 60 years, Lily’s Peanut Butter has grown to be a traditional staple of Filipino households. After many years of product excellence, the brand launched a huge campaign last year that brought the mother-and-son tandem of Daniel Padilla and Karla Estrada as endorsers.

The campaign is all about the bond people share whenever they experience a love nawalangkatulad. A love that will make you say, “Ikawlangtalaga."

This 2015, Lily’s goes all out anew with its Lily's Peanut Butterrific University Fun Day. This event was held last February 22, 2015 from 11am to 7pm at the Market Market Activity Center.

It was truly an exciting day as there were interactive booths and fun-filled activities which entertained the crowd audience. Along with this was the successful Cook Off with 2 celebrity chefs, Boy Logro and Victor Neri, which got everyone excited as the five (5) schools battled it out in two (2) rounds of cooking. The Mind Museum Keeps the Wonderment of Science in Summer

The Mind Museum known as the Philippines’ first world-class science museum, may be known for having galleries with interactive science exhibits, but not many know that it is also a place that offers unique and fun summer learning activities that tickle the scientist in each child.

CSI 101 shoe impressions as evidence
From simulated crime solving activities, to a behind-the-scenes look on being the museum’s ‘Mind Movers’, to learning about the science behind soccer, The Mind Museum can keep your eyes and minds widening in wonder.

    The Mind Museum’s Summer Programs

The Mind Museum continues to provide extraordinary learning and exploration to kids and kids-at-heart.

This summer, The Mind Museum, with the help of JPMorgan Chase & Co., brought an array of activities that will make you appreciate and love learning even more:

    Jr MindMover experiments
In the Crime Scene Investigation 101 (CSI 101) program, young inquisitive minds were tasked by the museum’s Mind Movers to examine a crime scene and figure out what could have possibly happened by doing evidence gathering, fingerprinting, odontology and blood splatter analysis.

Kids even presented their cases to a panel of investigators, and winning participants were given badges as their award. It was truly an exciting experience for them to try their hands at solving cases and on being crime scene investigators.

The Mind Museum also partnered with the scientists of the California Academy of Sciences and offered a Marine Science Camp to young wonderers. Held in Aiyanar Beach and Dive Resort, Anilao Batangas, adventurers gained a deeper appreciation for marine biodiversity through interactive activities including a “wet” show & tell of critters & corals, outdoor survival training with tents, sleeping bags and coolers facilitated by Coleman, and stargazing at night with the museum’s resident astronomer. Highlight was the snorkeling activity in the resort’s well-preserved house reef, and identifying the different forms of marine life that they learned about from the scientists of the Academy.
    Soccer Science drills
Meanwhile, other budding science prodigies were given the chance to be like the museum’s resident scientists or ‘Mind Movers’. Through the Junior Mind Mover (JMM) program, participants learned about the story of the museum and its galleries, and even performed experiments in front of museum guests. Through the program, they got to explore different fields of sciences in interactive and creative ways.

For kids who both love sports and science, the Soccer Science Program was the perfect activity to enjoy. Held at The Mind Museum and BGC Turf, participants learned the physics behind this sport including the science of curve balls, soccer statistics and soccer anatomy to prevent injuries.

Marine Camp outdoor survival challenge by Coleman
This program, made possible with the help of the Fort Bonifacio Development Foundation, Uratex and Mitre, had participants from a select group of sponsored Taguig public school kids, and soccer enthusiasts from all over Metro Manila.
Marine Camp wet show & tell of corals, critters from Aiyanar Resort's House Reef
    Soccer Science in BGC Turf

Unending Wonderment from The Mind Museum

Even if summer is over, they can still expect a lot more mind-blowing educational programs. Watch out for exciting science parties or ‘MindBurst’ events such as the Experiment Circus - travel into the past towards the future of Physics; or take part in the Halloween Special: Myth-busting and Ghost-busting and discover what is this spookiness behind “ghost-busting” activities.

For more details about the museum and continuous flow of events, visit The Mind Museum website at www.themindmuseum.org.

SM Aura, the latest high-end lifestyle place, opens tomorrow, May 17 at The Fort

On May 17, SM Aura Premier, SM Prime Holdings’ latest high-end lifestyle destination project, will open its doors to the public at The Fort.

It is envisioned as a landmark in the Taguig CBD, the fast flourishing “micro-city” where multinational and local corporations, as well embassies, consulates, and cultural offices maintain their Philippine headquarters. High-end residential buildings, international and innovative schools, technologically advanced medical centers, and other attractions that have transformed the area into a diverse and welcoming community.

There has been a lot of buzz about the mall and the aura of mystery that surrounds it –– an inexplicable energy that is seductive and incredibly magnetic at once.

Here are 10 things shoppers can look forward to at SM Aura:

    1. Its architecture is like a work of art. SM Aura is designed to stand out, not only visually, but also through the convenience and attractions that it offers shoppers. Architect Willy Cosculluela drew inspiration from nature, creating a sculptural form that conjures images of the flow of water, the grace of air, and the strata of the earth.

    2. Green architecture. SM Aura Premier is committed to sustainable design and development, and reducing the structure’s carbon footprint through green architecture. The SM Engineering Design and Development team on design as well practiced sustainable operations. Pollution and waste management systems are planned for maximum efficiency; a water treatment facility to recycle water for non-potable use is in place; and its massive green roof is designed to reduce the heat island effect in the structure. International green standards are strictly followed to ensure that SM Aura Premier will use energy and other resources efficiently. There are also bicycle paths and landscaped recreational areas around SM Aura, to ensure that the community will continue to breathe fresh air for many years to come.

    3. It redefines lifestyles. SM Aura gathers carefully selected local and international brands in one yet sustainable structure that redefines the country’s retail, fashion, gourmet, and lifestyle scene. This gives new meaning to the SM mantra of “having it all.” And of course, the group’s mainstays –– a more upscale SM Store, the Supermarket, Kultura, Our Home, and Toy Kingdom –– will be there, as will Forever 21, Uniqlo, Watsons and ACE Hardware.

    4. It will be a mall of firsts. Many global brands will have their first store in the country at SM Aura. Among these are Suiteblanco, Stefanel, Minelli, TM Lewin, and Petit Bateau for fashion; as well as Paul Boulangerie, NBA Café, and Todd English Food Hall for dining. It will also house the latest in concept and flagship stores.

    5. The Sky Park. The Sky Park has landscaped gardens and various water features that provide customers with the perfect ambience as they enjoy tried and tested gastronomic treats and exciting culinary concepts.

    6. The Pod. With a unique dome design set against a lush garden backdrop, the Pod is set to be a landmark in the Fort area. Designed for events, exhibits, and performances, the Pod is a great way to meet, greet, and be one with SM Aura Premier’s diverse community.

    7. The Chapel of San Pedro Calungsod. At the top level of SM Aura will be a chapel with an unorthodox yet highly aesthetic and tubular design. The Chapel of San Pedro Calungsod is an exercise in quiet elegance –– the perfect place to stop, rest, and reflect in this busy city.

    8. Non-stop entertainment. The IMAX alone is worth a visit to SM Aura Premier, as are the state-of-the-art cinemas designed to provide film lovers with a contemporary, elegant ambience. There are also two Director’s Clubs for special screenings.

    9. SMX Aura. This trade hall is a great place for exhibits and corporate meetings that will bring brands and organizations closer to the pulse of the Taguig Business District. The 3,800-square-meter SMX has three function rooms and eight meeting rooms for events.

    10. The Office Tower. A nearby office tower addresses the needs of the international market, as well as the growing demands of the call center industry in the Philippines. It will also have community offices, meeting rooms and facilities.
