My New Year's Resolutions . . . for Life!

Today, January 1, 2012  is the first day of our new life. I’m thinking new years resolutions, plans, goals and as I call these my commitments. I'm really determined to do my new years solutions and all. I've written down my guidelines and I hope that it will help me to make realistic goals.

As I’m doing my notes, most things are running inside my brain. It is just not new years resolution but simple and right things to do. Things to do forever, for life!  I'm just sharing these thoughts in my mind now.

- Think positively. If you don't believe in yourself then no one else will. I have read and heard many times a quote and advice.  "If you believe it, you can achieve it." Positive thinking creates success. Life will get better and better as you welcome the positive. Believe in yourself and don't look back.

- Open to all possibilities. Great things will happen in our life because we are open to all possibilities. By opening ourselves up, we will be able to learn from so many people with different backgrounds. We will learn and experience amazing things.

- Trust , don't worry.  Trust is importantDon’t worry about anything but trust. Stop worrying but trust you are doing exactly what you are meant to be doing. When we trust, we allow and when we allow our experiences instead of trying to manipulate them or force them into our limited vision of what should be, our lives expand and every day becomes a miracle right now. And beautiful, positive and perfect change just happens without our needing to worry about a thing. We have expectations but we should not to have many.  Learn to go with the flow. Have trust and be appreciative with the present happenings in life. Know that whatever we experience will be a great learning experience. It will give us enriching moments.

-Be Responsible. You have to start being responsible. Everyday of our lives we think of some situation we wish we had handled differently. We can make certain the actions we do every day is not filled with similar regrets. That's all we need to remember when we decide how to behave in the present. We won't be ashamed in the future, if we take charge of our present. It really is not hard you just have to be consistent in everything you do. Be dependable and responsible. To me the most important thing is always being your self.

- Be Happy. Simply do the things that make us happy, simply love the activities. Let’s be happy because we are doing what we love to do. Be happy with what we have, not just what we want. I understand. It really seems to be part of human nature to want. Just to want more and want better and want something new.

I have a very favorite quote :"The Happiest people don't have everything they want...but they make the most out of what they already have!"

Be happy by accepting the changing world. We are all part of this one being called “life as we know it” and it is always changing. Nothing really appears or disappears but it is always changing around. Every situation is temporary.

Share happiness with everyone you live with, family, relatives, friends, people we see around. Having compassion and making others happy will make you more happy.

Year 2012 is going to be "our" happy year in our wonderful world!

CHRISTMAS Special : The Meaning of the Advent Wreaths

Most Advent wreaths use three colors – purple, pink, and white. Some nowadays may use blue in place of the purple.

Purple symbolizing repentance and fasting. It is also the color of royalty, demonstrating the anticipation and reception of the coming King celebrated during Advent. Many churches have begun to use blue instead of purple, as a means of distinguishing Advent from Lent.

Pink represents joy or rejoicing and reveals a shift in the season away from repentance and toward celebration.

White representing purity. Christ is the sinless, spotless, pure Savior. Also, those who receive Christ as Savior are washed of their sins and made whiter than snow. It is the color of the center Advent candle.

1st Candle :  Purple Candle
THE PROPHECY CANDLE or CANDLE OF HOPE

We can have hope because God is faithful and will keep the promises made to us. Our hope comes from God. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15:12-13)

2nd  Candle : Purple Candle
THE BETHLEHEM CANDLE or THE CANDLE OF PREPARATION

Preparation means to “get ready”. Help us to be ready to welcome You, O God! ‘A voice of one calling in the desert, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him. Every valley shall be filled in, every mountain and hill made low. The crooked roads shall become straight, the rough ways smooth. And all mankind will see God’s salvation.‘
(Luke 3:4-6)

3rd Candle :  Pink Candle
THE SHEPHERD CANDLE or THE CANDLE OF JOY

The angels sang a message of Joy! “…and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.’ Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, ‘Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests.’ When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, ‘Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”
(Luke 2:7-15)

4th Candle :  Purple Candle
THE ANGEL CANDLE or THE CANDLE OF LOVE

The angles announced the good news of a Savior.  God sent his only Son to earth to save us, because he loves us! “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” (John 3:16-17)

5th Candle :  White Candle
“CHRIST CANDLE”

The white candle reminds us that Jesus is the spotless lamb of God, sent to wash away our sins! His birth was for his death, his death was for our birth! “The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, ‘Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!‘”
(John 1:29)

“Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a member of the Jewish ruling council. He came to Jesus at night and said, ‘Rabbi, we know you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the miraculous signs you are doing if God were not with him.’ In reply Jesus declared, ‘I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.’ ‘How can a man be born when he is old?’ Nicodemus asked. ‘Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb to be born!’ Jesus answered, ‘I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.‘”
(John 3:1-8)

Modest is Hottest

Modest is Hottest, Ladies. "I find the whole concept of being ‘sexy’ embarrassing and confusing. If I do an interview with photographs people desperately want to change me - dye my hair blonder, pluck my eyebrows, give me a fringe. Then there’s the choice of clothes. I know everyone wants a picture of me in a mini-skirt. But that’s not me. I feel uncomfortable. I’d never go out in a mini-skirt. It’s nothing to do with protecting the Hermione image. I wouldn’t do that. Personally, I don’t actually think it’s even that sexy. What’s sexy about saying, ‘I’m here with my boobs out and a short skirt, have a look at everything I’ve got?’ My idea of sexy is that less is more. The less you reveal the more people can wonder.
