When a Child is Born

A ray of hope flitters in the sky
A tiny star lights up way up high
All across the land dawns a brand new morn
This comes to pass when a child is born

A silent wish sails the seven seas
The winds have changed whisper in the trees
And the walls of doubt crumble tossed and torn
This comes to pass when a child is born

A rosy hue settles all around
You've got the feel you're on solid ground
For a spell or two no-one seems forlorn
This comes to pass when a child is born

And all of this happened
Because the world is waiting
Waiting for one child
Black, white, yellow, no one knows
But a child that would grow up and turn tears to
laughter
Hate to love, war to peace
And everyone to everyone's neighbour
Misery and suffering would be forgotten forever

It's all a dream and illusion now
It must come true, sometimes soon somehow
All across the land dawns a brand new morn
This comes to pass when a child is born

All across the land dawns a brand new morn
This comes to pass when a child is born

When a child is born

A Million Roses for the World

Lyrics:

We dream of a world at peace.
We dream of a world of love.
We dream of a world at prayer.
A world at peace, in love with God!
I have a mother in heaven
I have a queen in my heart.
My mother's name is Mary
Blessed handmaid of God!
We pledge to pray her rosary
That peace may reign supreme
A million roses of prayer
A million roses for peace!
Ave Maria!
Gratia Plena!
Viva Maria!
Viva Madre Mia!

Lyrics by The Most Rev. Socrates B. Villegas / Music by Ryan Cayabyab
Voice by Ms.Loudette Banson

A million roses for the world and  peace song is an offering for Mama Mary and for the rosary in many schools in the Philippines.

St. Paul University Manila animating the crowd in the pre-program of the launching of A MILLION ROSES for the WORLD - FILIPINOS AT PRAYER at UST grounds last October 8, 2011. The students of ST. A Social Network Christmas

This is one of the best clips I've seen in Facebook! I am moved and enjoyed watching about the Nativity, FB style.

This video is an artistic take on how the story of the nativity might have read had a social network existed at the time of Jesus's birth. Follow this historical period as it unfolds as a digital narrative. This vignette is great for highlighting the truths and circumstances of our Savior's birth in a fresh, unique way.

This project is completely relevant to the times we live and yet gives a simple yet clear version of the Christmas story. One of the best on the site. Godly creativity at it's best. One of the most creative videos in some time.

The sweet irony of this piece is that it uses the internet-context of how we share our personal lives, experiences, doubts, fears and joys today to humanize and make relevant an eternal event from 2,000 years ago.  At least the Social Network Christmas focuses on the story as real, and it spends some time thinking about the social consequences for Mary and Joseph too. Surely if we’re going to do any outreach beyond the “happy make feel nice” level at Christmas, we need to be telling it as a story that actually happened?

This have the right combination of biblical text and modernisms. Great song behind it , "O Come O Come Emmanuel."

O Come O Come Emmanuel Lyrics

O come, O come, Emmanuel

And ransom captive Israel
That mourns in lonely exile here
Until the Son of God appear
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

O come, Thou Rod of Jesse, free
Thine own from Satan's tyranny
From depths of Hell Thy people save
And give them victory o'er the grave
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

O come, Thou Day-Spring, come and cheer
Our spirits by Thine advent here
Disperse the gloomy clouds of night
And death's dark shadows put to flight.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

O come, Thou Key of David, come,
And open wide our heavenly home;
Make safe the way that leads on high,
And close the path to misery.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

O come, O come, Thou Lord of might,
Who to Thy tribes, on Sinai's height,
In ancient times didn't give the Law,
In cloud, and majesty and awe.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

‪You Raise Me Up

"You Raise Me Up" is a popular song in the inspirational mold. The music was written by Secret Garden's Rolf Løvland and the lyrics by Brendan Graham, a veteran songwriter from Ireland. The song has now been covered more than 125 times.

The song was originally written as an instrumental piece and titled "Silent Story." The melody is based on a traditional Irish tune, especially the opening phrase of its chorus.

I really love this song. This is one of my favorite gospel songs.

I have watched , in television and in Youtube, and heard this beautiful song many times. Performed by many soulful singers , international and of course filipinos,  here in the Philippines.

A special surprise performance by Groban, for Oprah Winfrey's 50th birthday, gave "You Raise Me Up" massive international prominence, and his recording was nominated for a 2005 Grammy award. Groban performed the song at the first Idol Gives Back Concert with the African Children's Choir.

On April 21, 2009, Celtic Woman performed "You Raise Me Up" on the popular American TV show Dancing with the Stars.

On August 3, 2009, Rhap Salazar rendered the song at the necrological service of former Philippine President Corazon Aquino

On December 11, 2009, Westlife performed it again at the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize concert celebrating US President Barack Obama.

On June 8, 2010, the song was used in a mash-up with Olivia Newton-John's "Magic" on the season 1 finale of Glee.

Here is the wonderful and beautiful Celtic Women, The Journey.

"You Raise Me Up"

When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary;
When troubles come and my heart burdened be;
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence,
Until you come and sit awhile with me.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up... To more than I can be.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up... To more than I can be.

There is no life - no life without its hunger;
Each restless heart beats so imperfectly;
But when you come and I am filled with wonder,
Sometimes, I think I glimpse eternity.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up... To more than I can be.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up... To more than I can be.
You raise me up... To more than I can be.

Here is one of my favorite american religious and soulful musician and songwriter ... Josh Groban.
