Pia Wurtzbach And Marlon Stockinger In Exclusive Tell-All With Vice Ganda In “Gandang Gabi Vice”

Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurztbach and racer Marlon Stockinger sit down in an exclusive tell-all interview with Vice Ganda this Sunday (April 2) on the second part of “Gandang Gabi Vice: The Royal Haha Highness Birthday Special.”

For the first time on television, Pia and Marlon go no-holds-barred as they reveal ‘kilig’ details about their love story and share how the universe conspired to make their paths and hearts meet.

The two also gamely participate in Vice’s challenge to know who really is taller than the other using a giant measuring stick. Will it be Marlon or Pia?

But Vice is not the only one who has gimmicks up his sleeves because Pia calls in his former opponent and co-candidate in a gay beauty pageant and challenges the two in an on-the-spot pageant showdown.

The kilig and kwela don’t end there because to cap everything off, a rare TV moment happens on the GGV stage as Marlon formally asks Pia to be his girlfriend.

#BilisNgPinoy : Marlon Stockinger competes in Austria prior to Slipstream 2.0


Filipino Jr. F1 driver to represent PH in 2015 Status Grand Prix

Filipino Junior F1 Racer Marlon Stockinger is sole Philippine representative for premier one-make racing championship GP2’s eleventh season in Austria.

The Formula 1 aspirations of Filipino-Swiss​ Jr. F1​ racing driver Marlon Stockinger shifts to a higher gear today with the staging of the 2015 Status Grand Prix (GP2) season in Austria.

Twenty-six drivers representing 13 teams that will race over 10 rounds are participating in the said event. Entering the Austria event, GP 2 has already completed three rounds, which started last April in Bahrain. Stockinger, 24, is joined by New Zealand’s 23-year-old driver Richie Stanaway for Status Grand Prix this year.

According to Stockinger’s mother Egin, his son has been adjusting well in this GP2 series, noting that he is still in his rookie year as a GP2 participant. “It’s very challenging because the car he now uses​ is heavier, and​ this series​ ​is ​different from ​where he used to race. But overall as a rookie driver in a series of GP2,​ he is doing very well,” she said. “I talked to him four days ago. He is confident and hopeful that he will earn points in this series. Of course, it will be tough but he is doing everything he can.” 

The GP2 Season is considered as the support series for the 2015 Formula One World Championship. Marlon Stockinger ​is a junior driver of F1 team​ Lotus. The lone Filipino F1 bet got his maiden victory during the 2012 GP3 Series in Monte Carlo while racing for Status Grand Prix.

Meantime, Stockinger will return to the country June 25, in time for Slipstream​ 2.0​ happening two days later on the 27th and presented by his main corporate sponsor,​ Globe​ Telecom.

Slipstream 2.0 is a one-day event for the public, particularly motoring aficionados, where Stockinger is set to drive his Lotus World Series racecar around the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.

The event will be a sequel to last year’s exhibition of fast cars and fancy vehicles which attracted thousands of enthusiasts and their families who saw history in the making by witnessing a World Series car burn rubber on the streets of Manila.

Racing aficionados' celebration of speed with Globe Slipstream

Global Slipstream attracted racing aficionados for a unique and historic “celebration of speed.” Racing enthusiasts, as well as the city’s partyphiles and music fans, filled the Bonifacio Global City (BGC) 

Globe Telecom in partnership with the Lotus Formula One (F1) Team, organized and held a great event last August 30, Saturday, entitled Globe Slipstream that bring one fo the world’s fastest sports headlined by one of the fastest driving young drivers in the world at the country’s fastest-developing business hub powered by the nation’s fastest and most modern network.

The festivities started at 1 p.m. and kick off with a car  and motors parade at the Bonifacio High Street. 

That was an exciting celebration of speed with a race car driving exhibition, interactive booths, and an outdoor music festival and concert headlined by local and international acts.

We have seen fast as Lotus F1 junior driver and Prince of Speed Marlon Stockinger brings the F1 experience to Manila as he drive his Lotus WSR Gravity Charouz Formula Renault 3.5 car around a customized BGC race track, showing off the skills that bought him a a seat on the premier Lotus F1 junior team.

Bonifacio High Street turned into an ultimate speed strip with vintage and luxury car parade, car exhibition, and a karting challenge for celebrities also there for racing.

Near fast with hard-hitting beats as electronic dance music performer Dualist Inquiry, American dance-puk band Chk Chk Chk, local bands Up Dharma Down, Yolanda Moon and Autotelic, and DJ Joey Santos cap the night with an upbeat concert party at the BGC Ampitheater.





The fast guys, the race teams of Ducati-Bacchus, Ducati-Access Plus, ATAT Racing Team, Samson College-Access Plus - Ducati Desmo Owners Club of the Philippines and Kojie-San brought in their top riders participated at the Globe Slipstream.

Ducati Superbike riders invade BGC at the Globe Slipstream

Ducati Superbike riders participated at the Globe Slipstream as they invaded the modified race track at the Bonifacio Global City streets last Saturday, August 30 as a homecoming event for Filipino-Swiss race car driver Marlon Stockinger.


The fast guys, the race teams of Ducati-Bacchus, Ducati-Access Plus, ATAT Racing Team, Samson College-Access Plus - Ducati Desmo Owners Club of the Philippines and Kojie-San brought in their top riders, among them 16-year-old TJ Alberto, superbike master rider and Ducati Philippines CEO Mr. Toti Alberto and General Manager Marc de Joya, John Defensor and Alvin Dee, Superbike Open riders Jussi Hoikka, Vince Mercado and Jordan Gaw, Lawrence Macalinao, Ralph Reyes Jay Carrion, Redge Burilla, Miguel Bichara, Gerald Aycardo, Nikki Romero, Gelo Roa, Daniel Savino, Col. Benjie Ladra, Martin Rosario, Monti Mortimer and former superbike champion Raniel Resuello.

Celebrity superbike racers also participated at the first Globe Slipstream, Dingdong Dantes and Bullet Jalosjos.


Globe Telecom, the exclusive business partner of Lotus F1 in the Philippines, decided to bring in Stockinger’s Lotus WSR Gravity Charouz Formula Renault 3.5 car he actually drives in the World Series for a test drive around a customized BGC race track.

Ducati superbike racers did a demonstration race along with the parade of vintage luxury cars, karting challenge.

Globe telecom in partnership with Lotus F1; Globe announces 100% 3G coverage now and full 4G coverage in 90 days

Philippines' Globe Telecom has signed a partnership with Formula One racing team Lotus F1 Team. Through the alliance, Globe becomes the exclusive business partner of the Lotus F1 team in the country and telecommunication partner of LoFilipino-Swiss Formula One racer Marlon Stockinger.


As Globe brings modern network to life, Globe Telecom teamed up with Formula One racing team Lotus F1 Team to bring to life its new and modern network, which has recently rolled-out 100% 3G coverage nationwide, including full 4G HSPA+ footprint by end of third quarter this year, providing subscribers a faster mobile browsing experience in the age of smartphone revolution.

Globe becomes the exclusive business partner of the Lotus F1 team in the country and telecommunication partner of Filipino-Swiss Marlon Stockinger, the first Formula One racer to have placed the Philippines on the F1 radar.

Stockinger’s impressive track performance, particularly his first place finish at the Monaco leg of Grand Prix 3 Series in 2012, earned him a spot in the Lotus F1 Junior Team. He and six other promising drivers joined the Junior Team in February 2013 to undergo rigorous training that will boost their wellness and performance on their journey to competing in Formula One races. Currently, Stockinger is competing in the Renault World Series, a major step towards qualifying for F1 events.

Save the date, to celebrate the partnership, Stockinger will fly to Manila on August 30, 2014 to lead the Globe Speed Day at the Bonifacio Global City (BGC) in Taguig. The event will feature Stockinger showing off his track skills driving his Lotus-Gravity Charouz Formula Renault 3.5 race car around BGC.

It is also set to be packed with thrill and excitement as Lotus F1 simulators, booths, freebies, and games in partner-establishments around BGC await racing aficionados. 

Globe's President & CEO, Ernest Cu, also announced before guests, media and bloggers that Globe has finally achieved 100% network coverage with 3G signal and that in another 90 days, it will be able to provide full HSPA+ (LTE) coverage.


Globe Telecom Chief Operating Advisor Peter Bithos shared the excitement to mark another milestone in Globe "as we unveil our now 100% 3G-powered network and soon 100% 4G HSPA+ network to provide our customers the fastest and most seamless browsing experience nationwide. Globe Telecom is the first telecommunications company in the Philippines to achieve 100% 3G coverage for its entire network, providing its customers with high-speed wireless internet for faster data interchange on their mobile devices.

The telco also expects to fully equip its network with the more advanced 4G infrastructure with the HSPA+ technology by end of the third quarter this year, allowing customers to enjoy faster data connectivity even as they use bandwidth-intensive multimedia data applications such as video and photography.
