Barbie Forteza And David Licauco Star In Ben&Ben’s “The Way You Look At Me” Music Video

Following the digital release of Ben&Ben’s impressive cover of “The Way You Look At Me” just last January, Universal Records Philippines is set to unveil its official music video this March, as part of the label’s epic 20th year anniversary tribute to OPM hitmaker and Asia’s Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista.

Every single #BarDa fans out there are in for a lovely treat as two of the biggest and sought-after young stars of today will be starring in this visual spectacle.

Barbie Forteza and David Licauco are bringing their acting prowess and undeniable star power to the music video that depicts a melancholic tale of love and loss.

“It’s as if my heart knows you’re the missing piece” — perhaps is one of the most amorous lines in “The Way You Look At Me”. But what if that missing piece isn’t going to be found or will never return again?

The music video for the song unfolds a story of a guy (played by David) who was asked to try a dating app so he can get over his lost love.

There is something that makes him like this girl (played by Barbie) instantly and he cannot explain it. Maybe her looks are just “his type”? But there’s something more to unravel from there. Eventually, an intense twist will be revealed towards the end of the music video, so fans really have to watch it from start to finish.

Also starring in this short cinematic visual is Kapuso star Shuvee Etrata, best known on TikTok as @smilingshuvee with over 2.2 million followers.

The official music video will be released later this month and its official teaser poster has been revealed today on social media. It quickly became a top trending topic because of the very supportive BarDa fans and “Investors” (Barbie and David’s fandom) on Twitter.

Right now, Ben&Ben’s cover of “The Way You Look At Me” has over 1.6 million streams on Spotify. It will be part of Christian Bautista's 20th anniversary tribute album which will come out very soon!

Zelle Eliz gives hope to Typhoon-affected families thru a fundraising drive of ABLOOM

Zelle Eliz, a half-Filipino and half-Malaysian based in Canada, is an up-and-coming artist of her generation. With hit singles like A. O. N., Kaleidoscope Adventures, and That’s Okay (available on Spotify and Youtube), Zelle definitely has a promising future in the music industry.

Zelle Eliz is an excellent and passionate singer with a big heart for fellow Filipinos. Upon hearing the news about how Typhoons Rolly and Ulysses have displaced thousands of families in the Philippines, she felt the urgency to respond in a way that would make an impact to those greatly affected.

Last February, Zelle Eliz launched a fundraising drive of her debut album, “Abloom”. For every purchase, part of the proceeds will be donated to World Vision’s projects that aim to sustain Typhoon-stricken families and communities.

“I’ve always believed that we are proponents of change and that we must all come together and participate in changing the world, no matter how small the contribution may be,” shared Zelle Eliz. “Abloom is my humble way of sharing the gift and the power of music, to empower the voiceless with voice, as an instrument in transforming the lives of those in need”.

Also, through this partnership with World Vision, Zelle Eliz aims to empower those in need by raising awareness, volunteering in outreach programs, and supporting the education of the most vulnerable children.

Reflections of Time :“Kuh Ledesma Christian Bautista Sing Streisand Groban Legrand”on October 20 at The Tent at Solaire

The veteran artist also known as Pop Diva, Kuh Ledesma and Asia’s Pop Idol Christian Bautista sing  famous great songs of international icon artists Barbra Streisand,  Josh Groban and Michel Legrand.

Listen to classic melodies from iconic names in music history be transformed by two of the country’s finest voices in a concert entitled, “Kuh Ledesma Christian Bautista Sing Streisand Groban Legrand” happening on October 20, 2018 at The Tent at Solaire.

As an advocate of Filipino artists, Solaire showcases yet another pair of brilliant stars that will serve as the opening act in the integrated resort’s newest event venue, The Tent.

“The Tent seeks to accommodate Solaire’s ever expanding entertainment fare. We can now simultaneously hold concerts and musicals in two spaces for our guests’ enjoyment. It is quite fitting that The Tent’s maiden offering is “Kuh Ledesma Christian Bautista Sing Streisand Groban Legrand” as it speaks of how time is a transforming force, a common thread that the artists and Solaire have experienced over the years. It will truly be a wonderful night of beautiful music.” says Audie Gemora, Solaire’s Director for Entertainment.

Kuh Ledesma has been in the business for four decades and is showing no signs of stopping from performing on stage. She was prominently compared to Barbra Streisand during her beginnings, but eventually shook the association off due to her own striking looks, soulful sound and acting prowess. The veteran artist behind the hits “Dito Ba?”, “Til I Met You”, and “One More Try” has a busy 2018 with shows both local and abroad, including her upcoming concert with Christian Bautista whom she’s sang with several times in the past. “It’s always a pleasure to work with Christian.” she says.

“First of all, he has a great voice – and it’s always a delight working with singers with great voices. Second, he is a friend and brother in Christ, so that’s a bonus. Lastly, he’s good looking — what else can I ask for?”

Christian Bautista also had his dose of early comparison. He was likened to American artist Josh Groban for his lanky physique when he first auditioned for a defunct television singing contest. Despite his competition exit, he was offered a recording contract and thus began his climb to entertainment stardom. His debut single “The Way You Look At Me” received an acclaimed exposure in Indonesia which set his singing career in an international trajectory. Kuh is not a stranger as a performance partner, and Christian only has praises to say about her.

“I’ve learned so much from her. As an artist, I admire the brilliance she injects in our craft. She knows how every little detail will flow and has total control of her shows. It’s an amazing opportunity to see how she does it and be able to sing with her on the same stage again.”

With strings of ups and down throughout the years under their belts, both artists agree that time has allowed them to translate their repertoire into more personal narratives of their lives even beyond the limelight. Kuh divulges, “Being in the industry for 40 years, the songs have become mine over time. There is one song that brings me to tears whenever I hear it and this concert is my opportunity to sing it as my own.” To put more context, Christian cites his relationship with fiancé Kat Ramnani and how she has made an impact to his performances. “Groban’s ‘You Raise Me Up’ has more meaning to me now. When I hear it, sing it, I think about Kat and how the song perfectly describes how she affects me and how much she inspires me.”

Reflecting on the last few years since doing this concert for the first time, Kuh shares, “The years in between have brought a lot of amazing experiences. We’ve gone through various events, even life changing milestones that bear different emotions. Although the songs will be familiar and the best from the three icons, there will be more depth and honesty.” says Kuh.

“Our, and of course the fans of Streisand, Legrand and Groban can definitely expect a deeper sense of connection in the songs that we will sing in the concert. It’ll still be the music that the fans have fallen in love with, only this time more heartfelt.”

With numerous critically-acclaimed hits and several acting stints (including popular GMA-7 show, My Love From The Star), Christian has already made an indelible mark in the entertainment industry. Christian Bautista To Release Second Single “Huling Harana” This July 28

Having a multitude of accolades under his belt doesn’t stop Christian Bautista from pursuing new ventures. Last June, the City of Manila and Mayor Joseph Estrada presented Asia’s Romantic Balladeer with the “Patnubay ng Sining at Kalinangan” award for his contribution in the local and international music scene. Christian said in an interview that receiving the award felt “close to home” because the awardees were carefully chosen by “those within the [Manila] community” themselves. Aside from being a critically acclaimed icon in the music industry, the singer is also known for his character, Winston, in GMA-7’s hit television show “My Love From The Star” which airs from Monday to Friday and also stars Jennelyn Mercado and Gil Cuerva.

The renowned hit-maker recently launched his latest single, Kapit, under Universal Records. The track, which Christian describes as one that speaks of “holding on” in the face of a relationship’s trials, is the theme song of GMA-7’s primetime Koreanovela, “Innocent Defendant”. The Korean TV drama is scheduled after “I Heart Davao” and before “Saksi” on the premier television network. The music video for the said song, shot in Solaire Resort and Casino, premiered last month as well. The carrier single served as a sneak peek for Christian’s upcoming album, which the sought-after vocalist reveals is a new phase and a kind of self-rediscovery.

The second single for the much-anticipated album is entitled Huling Harana, which Christian explains is a track that veers away from the typical Broadway vibe. The “hugot”-filled ballad, written by Banda Ni Kleggy’s Rye Sarmiento, is a follow-up to the successful carrier track, Kapit. It will be available digitally this July 28 on iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, Deezer, Amazon, and Spinnr.

Equipped with exemplary songwriting expertise and years of experience in the industry, Christian Bautista has scheduled his album—which he co-wrote and co-produced himself with the help of Universal Records—for release very soon. He is currently working on new materials for the upcoming record.

Tony, Olivier and Grammy Winner JERSEY BOYS to Premiere in Manila, September 23

Atlantis Theatrical Entertainment Group (ATEG), which recently presented the first international production of “The Bridges of Madison County” and the newly re-imagined production of “Saturday Night Fever,” is set to premiere a brand-new production of the Tony, Olivier, and Grammy Award-winning musical “Jersey Boys,” a biographical musical based on the story of the legendary American doo-wop group Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, on September 23 at Meralco Theatre in Pasig City.

Starring acoustic balladeer Nyoy Volante in the coveted role of Frankie Valli, lead vocalist of the Four Seasons, and Asian Pop Superstar Christian Bautista in the role of Bob Gaudio, singer-songwriter and keyboardist of the Four Seasons (the full cast will be announced at a later date), will run for a limited 15 shows only, on the weekends from September 23 until October 16.

Now in its 11th year on Broadway, “Jersey Boys” officially opened on Broadway at the August Wilson Theatre on November 6, 2oo5. In 2006, the show won the Tony Award for Best Musical, Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical (John Lloyd Young, who also played the role of Frankie Valli in the movie adaptation in 2014), Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical (Christian Hoff), and Best Lighting Design of a Musical (Howell Binkley). It also won Best New Musical at the 2008 Laurence Olivier Awards in London and Best Musical Show Album at the 2007 Grammy Awards. As of September 22, 2015, after setting a record of at least 4,093 performances, “Jersey Boys” has surpassed “Miss Saigon” as the 12th longest-running show in Broadway history.

To date, the show has been seen by more than 23 million people worldwide and is currently playing in New York, Las Vegas, London, and in numerous cities across North America and the U.K. In Asia, an international touring production, starring an all-South African cast, played Singapore, South Korea, and Malaysia from November 2012 to April 2014.

Directed by Bobby Garcia, “Jersey Boys,” featuring the music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe, the Four Seasons' record producer, and book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, who creatively present the story of the Four Seasons' formation, meteoric rise and descent via four symbolic seasons told from different points of view, has some unique offerings for Filipino theatergoers: Mr. Garcia's brand-new staging, Driscoll Otto's lighting design, Edwin Tan's costume design, and Faust Peneyra's set design.

“Jersey Boys is such a well-crafted biographic musical. It manages to both be a celebration of the unforgettable music of the Four Seasons and at the same time a gritty but heartfelt true-to-life tale of friendship, family, and stardom. Like any good musical, it has a fantastic story and bringing that story to life while at the same time honoring the legends who created the music is the challenge—it is also what excites me about the show,” Mr. Garcia said.

“Jersey Boys” tells the story of the 40-year-friendship of four sons of Italian immigrants in New Jersey. They went from singing on street corners in the various housing projects in northern N.J. to singing on national television as their songs, featuring Frankie Valli's trademark three-octave range and falsetto and a distinctive doo-wop sound, charted 24 Top-30 hits from 1962 to 1968. Their most popular songs such as “Big Girls Don't Cry,” “Sherry,” “Walk Like A Man,” “Working My Way Back to You,” “Can't Take My Eyes Off You,” “My Eyes Adored You,” and “December 1963 (Oh What a Night),” defined the boomer generation who took illegal drugs, sex, rebellion, and rock and roll to a whole new level.

Considered as America's most popular singing group before The Beatles, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, alongside the Beach Boys, Motown, and Memphis soul, fought their way to the top of the music charts even during the phenomenal “Beatlemania,” The Rolling Stones, and British Invasion in the mid-60s.

'Jersey Boys' is one of those nights at the theatre that leaves you feeling so good. I think it's those songs. There is an energy to them that lifts you higher and higher. We also have assembled a truly first-rate cast whom I think will bring these legends to thrilling life!” Mr. Garcia said.

Interviewed by Billboard, Mr. Valli said, “It [the Broadway musical] has created a new awareness [about the Four Seasons], especially with younger people.”

Detox to lose weight, be fit and more energetic through Blue Water Day Spa Therapeutic Colonic Massage: Detox for Faster Weight Loss

My friends and relatives have talked about doing different kinds of detoxes. I’ve been thinking I might try one, but I’m not sure how to go about it.

The body already has systems in place that protect us from potentially harmful substances. The liver, intestines, kidneys, lungs, skin, blood and lymphatic systems are all designed to work together to ensure any dangerous toxins are chemically transformed into less harmful compounds that are then excreted from the body.

As we become more and more exposed to toxins – from the unhealthy food that we eat to the pollution we encounter on our daily commute across the metro, our body becomes heavy because of the buildup of waste, leading to a loss of energy and an uncomfortable disposition.

There are many ways to detox to be fit and healthier, that will lead us to an increased sense of wellbeing.

Last September 15, 2015, Blue Water Day Spa introduces Therapeutic Colonic Massage. To detox for Faster Weight Loss, combining medical science with Blue Water Day Spa hospitality and relaxation, the Therapeutic Colonic Massage helps gently remove excess toxins from your body, starting with those that have accumulated in your digestive system.

Detox and regain your energy through Blue Water Day Spa’s Therapeutic Colonic Massage, as the newest and most effective detox management treatment used by celebrities and newest Blue Water Day's Spa ambassadors Christian Bautista, Miss Universe 2013 Third Runner-Up Ariella Arida, Ken Alfonso and Wynwyn Marquez.

Christian Bautista
Christian Bautista, popular singer/actor, an avid fan of the Therapeutic Colonic treatment, shares:
“As a performer, my schedules are hectic and always changing, so I have to be in the best shape possible to meet all the demands of my work. The long nights and late meals do take a toll on my body. With the BlueWater Day Spa Therapeutic Colonic Massage, I feel better and have more energy. It’s a gentle detox that serves a dual purpose, because it helps you lose weight, too!

Ariela Arida, Miss Universe Third Runner Up 2013

Ariela Arida, Miss Universe Third Runner Up 2013, visits Bluewater Day Spa whenever she has the time. She pampers herself with a relaxing and beautifying Collagen Facial Treatment from Bluewater Day Spa to keep her skin looking youthful with that special glow.

Winwyn Marquez

Actress Winwyn Marquez keeps herself physically fit with various exercise regimens. But when it comes to looking her best, she visits Bluewater Day Spa for her Photo Therapy Flash (IPL) Treatment. Using a highly advanced yet safe laser technology, this removes unwanted hair permanently.

Ken Alfonso

Actor/Singer/Host Ken Alfonso indulges in Bluewater Day Spa's Revitafirm and Revitashape Treatments. Using the technology of heat through the RF machine, this treatment tones your face and body and melts away excess cellulites. It helps Ken achieve those perfect abs.

Jumpstart your journey to a healthier, sexier, and more energetic you with Blue Water Day Spa Therapeutic Colonic Massage.

The treatment concentrates on the core (abdominal area), loosening the hardened blockages in your system through massage. The body then naturally expels these wastes through normal body function.

Enjoy the full-hour treatment, made more relaxing with the use of chamomile oil, in the calming ambience of the Blue Water Day Spa suites. Though the massage on the abdomen itself takes approximately 20 mins, you will enjoy lasting results.

In as little as one session, find relief from common digestive problems such as constipation, bloating, gas, and abdominal pains and cramps. The gentle boost on your digestive tract realigns organs and also helps your body cope better with hard-to-digest food. Regular, weekly treatments offer long-term benefits that include improved sleep, more defined abdominal muscle tone, and restored energy.

As you detox, the treatment also primes the body to respond better to diet and exercise, helping you lose weight faster and safely.

Say goodbye to stubborn love handles, as you welcome a shapelier and more defined figure.
