With the opening of the Resorts World Manila (RWM) Travelers Lounge, lay-overs and wait times of airline passengers can be more convenient and enjoyable.

First to enjoy the benefits of the lounge will be Cebu Pacific (CEB) with its satellite check-in services for flights departing from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 (NAIA T3).

Located at the ground floor of the RWM’s Newport Mall, Cebu Pacific passengers have the option to check-in for their flights during mall hours, or up to eight (8) hours before their scheduled flights. Those with check-in bags, however, will still have to proceed to the Bag Drop counters at the airport.

“Now, guests have more reason to make use of check-in options such as the website, mobile app, and now, RWM’s Travelers Lounge, to get their boarding passes even before arriving at the airport. CEB passengers have the opportunity to enjoy the amenities and attractions at Resorts World Manila—which is directly connected to NAIA T3, while waiting for their flights,” said Javier Massot, Vice-President for Airport Services at Cebu Pacific.

To ensure that nobody misses their flights while enjoying RWM’s attractions and amenities, real-time flight status digital boards are located at the lounge. Getting to NAIA T3 is easy and cool with Runway Manila, an air-conditioned, elevated walkway that directly connects Newport City with the airport. Free shuttle vans regularly make the rounds from Newport Mall and RWM hotels to the Runway Manila entrance from where passengers can walk to the airport within five minutes.

Resorts World Manila and Cebu Pacific executives at Travelers Lounge

“We’re very pleased to have this partnership with the Philippines’ biggest budget airline,” says Stephen Reilly, Chief Operating Officer of Resorts World Manila, “They fly hundreds of thousands of local and international tourists on their planes daily and we are glad to provide these travelers with the option of spending their pre-boarding hours enjoying the many thrills RWM has to offer.”

As an added treat for those who check-in at the satellite lounge, RWM is giving away 300 pesos worth of non-negotiable slots credits, and PHP 150 discount vouchers for every minimum P500.00 spend at RWM signature restaurants such as Impressions, Passion, Ginzadon, Café Maxims, and gaming area restaurants Silk Road, Silogue, Victoria Harbour Café, and Franks.

Guests must be at least 21 years old to avail of the slot credits and to dine in gaming area restaurants. Travelers with flights are responsible for reaching their boarding gates on time and encouraged to check the flight status boards around the property and to allow enough time to reach the airport.

Download the RWM Mobile App or visit www.rwmanila.com for updates on new events, offers, and promotions at RWM and Newport Mall. Call the Tourist/Visitor Hotline at +632.908.8833 for inquiries.

Visa Winner Meets Visa Team Athlete Michael Martinez at the Olympic Winter Games Pyeongchang 2018

MANILA, PHILIPPINES - Visa, in partnership with Cebu Pacific, awarded Miss Leonila Parungao a VIP trip package for two to the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea. Miss Parungao also had the opportunity to meet Filipino figure skater Michael Martinez, one of the 54 athletes on Team Visa. Martinez represented the Philippines in the Olympic Winter Games, with a last-minute spot secured barely three weeks before the competition started.

“My experience at PyeongChang is certainly one for the books. Meeting the Philippines’ pride and joy, Michael Martinez, was just the cherry on top of this unforgettable trip. It’s not every day you get to witness an event as historic as the Olympic Winter Games, and to meet an Olympian. I’d like to thank Visa and Cebu Pacific once again for this opportunity,” said Leonila Parungao.

Miss Parungao, a Filipina immigrant living in Australia, won the trip—the grand prize for the Olympic Winter Games promo campaign organized by Visa and Cebu Pacific—by booking her Cebu Pacific flight from Sydney to Manila using her Visa payment card.

“We are pleased to have provided Miss Parungao this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and support Michael Martinez’s journey to the Olympic Winter Games this year. At Visa, we are always trying to create exciting and memorable experiences for our cardholders and I really think this is a great of example of us achieving this,” said Stuart Tomlinson, Visa Country Manager for the Philippines and Guam.

With year-round low fares offered by Cebu Pacific, Miss Parungao is able to fly to Manila to visit relatives at least two to three times a year.

“Our partnership with Visa has enabled more travellers to book their Cebu Pacific flights using the fast and easy payment options of Visa. We look forward to our continued partnership with Visa as we encourage more travellers to fly to different countries, see new places and create new experiences,” said Candice Iyog, Vice President for Marketing and Distribution of Cebu Pacific.

Cebu Pacific, which flies five times weekly between Manila and Sydney, is the only Low-Cost Carrier plying this route.

Netizens pick Batanes as the next Cebu Pacific destination - Cebu Pacific to launch Batanes route on March 25

Batanes— with its dramatic scenery, crashing waves and idyllic landscape—is on most travelers’ bucket lists. It’s also the newest Cebu Pacific destination!

Cebu Pacific will start flying between Manila and Basco, Batanes on March 25, 2018—just in time for the summer travel season.

One of the most scenic spots in Batanes, Chamantad Cove and Tiñan Viewpoint leaves tourists in awe of its stunning view of the ocean from up the hills.

Batanes emerged as the most requested destination among netizens on social media in a crowdsourcing campaign Cebu Pacific launched last year, aside from being ready for commercial aviation and tourism. Using the hashtag #CEBFlyMeTo, netizens were asked which destinations in the Philippines they would want Cebu Pacific to fly next. Other popular choices among netizens included Daet (Camarines Norte), Mati (Davao Oriental), Bantayan Island (Cebu), San Vicente (Palawan) and Siquijor. All top picks were then assessed in terms of readiness for commercial flights, with criteria that included airport infrastructure, safety and security processes, and passenger facilities.

With Cebu Pacific’s new flights to Batanes, tourists can now enjoy the breathtaking scene of the province’s white sands and clear blue waters.

“Our new flight to Basco is in keeping with our commitment to connect more of the Philippines and make air travel safe, affordable, reliable, and fun-filled for everyjuan. What makes this route more special is that netizens were actively engaged in the selection of our new destination—our customers were part of the process,” said Alexander Lao, Cebgo President and CEO.

Cebu Pacific, through subsidiary Cebgo, will fly once daily between Manila and Basco, Batanes beginning March 25 until October 27, 2018. The flight departs from the NAIA Terminal 4 in Manila at 6:20am, with the return trip from Basco, Batanes departing at 9:15am.

CEB will hold an introductory all-in seat sale for flights from Manila to Basco from February 12 to 13, 2018, or until seats last. For those who plan to travel from March 25 to May 31, 2018, the summer peak season, the special introductory fare is at PHP2,699. For travelers who plan to visit Batanes from June 1 to October 27, 2018, the all-in introductory seat sale fare is at PHP2,399. The year-round fare from Manila to Basco is as low as PHP4,241, all-in.

Travelers can also visit Fundacion Pacita Batanes Nature Lodge, the former residence of international artist Pacita Abad, and look at her beautiful artworks or book a cozy accommodation.

Cebu Pacific Air doubles up on customer-first efforts, invests in Customer Command Center

Cebu Pacific Air, the Philippines' leading carrier, invests in 24/7 Customer Command Center equipped with social monitoring, publishing and engagement tools.

CEB is among the first airlines in Asia to invest in an integrated facility and technology for social intelligence and customer engagement.

Jala De Paz, Director for Customer Care

CEB goes all out in its customer-first initiatives, with the unveiling of its Customer Command Center to ensure that the right information to be given to he right people at the right time and the CEB Customer tasked to assist travelers on their concerns and inquiries.

The CEB command center, which went online last August, is manned by a 55-strong integrated customer care team. Aside from CEB's official Facebook and Twitter pages, they also handle schedule changes through the hotline. The team also works closely with the airline's Network Control Center, especially during weather or other flight disruptions, so it can provide passengers with the most updated information and options.

The integrated CEB Customer Command Center has created a heightened awareness of customer needs. Since the facility was put online, response time on CEB's official social media accounts went up from two days to hours, even as fast as eight minutes.

'The Customer Command Center is the physical representation of our enhanced customer-first efforts. Our long-term goal is to build lasting relationships with our customers, and this is an airline-wide initiative, driven by data, technology and a lot of heart,' said Candice Iyog, Vice President for Marketing and Distribution of Cebu Pacific.

Candice Iyog, Vice President for Marketing and Distribution of Cebu Pacific

CEB has been ramping-up investments to boost customer satisfaction and experience with the airline. The carrier aims to improve its Satisfactory Rating from its own passenger post-flight surveys over the coming months.

Aimed at improving and personalizing communications with customers, the Customer Command Center allows CEB's customer care team to better address passenger concerns by providing relevant and timely information and updates. The facility makes it easier to engage customers and understand how CEB services are resonating with them.

Shashank Nigam, CEO of SimpliFlying, a leading global aviation marketing consulting firm, for his part, noted that social media has become integral to keeping conversations and engagement with customers. In its Airline Social Media Outlook for 2017, SimpliFlying found that social media teams have proven critical to airlines even in handling travel disruptions.

SimpliFlying initiated the command center strategy for Cebu Pacific in 2016. Nigam noted that, 'Cebu Pacific is the first low-cost carrier in Asia to invest in a 24/7 customer command center. It is a testament to Cebu Pacific's commitment to its customers, by using social media to reach and respond to passengers when it's needed the most.'

The new CEB Customer Command Center is the result of a broader transformation across the airline, where customer care and passenger experience are increasingly entrenched in the airline's operations. Recently, CEB has allocated over PHP100 Million for 35 DPLs (Disabled passenger Lifts)-the first carrier to invest in facilities that cater to the needs of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) and Persons with Reduced Mobility (PRMs). The DPLs will allow PWDs and PRMs to board and deplane aircraft safely, easily and more comfortably.
