Avida Land Unveils the Biggest Outdoor Mural in the South

Avida Land excitedly announces the official unveiling of “In Her Future Memories,” a stunning mural artwork and winner of their recently concluded South Park District Mural Design Competition.

The eye-catching colors of “In Her Future Memories” invite lovers of art from all over the country to appreciate its beauty in person.

From championing local artists to elevating spaces with Filipino artistry is Avida's dedication to the arts, and this advocacy will continue to strengthen for years to come. They believe in the power of art to inspire, connect, and spark conversations, and "In Her Future Memories" embodies this spirit.

“In Her Future Memories” was designed and created by Jhocel “Anthony Marahuyo” Malicsi and his team of thirteen talented visual artists—Rheydene Luca Ortega, Rhealhet Luca Ortega, Laurence Sebolino Gutierrez, Ma. Aleilyn Joyce Domingo Botin, John Roland Alipis, Ainafer Rupal Arena, John Alexis Rupal Arena, Roma Nieves Huet, Rica Permejo, Mia Jormalyn Astrera Balaoro, John Lenarrd Soriano Barua, Michael Grospe Autos, and Jefferson Panghulan Parajas. On board to handle logistics for this team were Jerome Edianel Carandang, Charmaine Abiado Camba, Paul Denvir Delmonte, and John Carlo Decrepito.

Marahuyo Studio is gifted their prize money for winning the Avida South Park Mural Design Competition.

Team leader Jhocel Malicsi and his group executed their winning mural design on one of the exterior walls of the South Park Center. Using paints provided by Davies Paints, they turned the wall into a massive, eye-catching canvas on which the theme was well-interpreted in vivid colors with a clear visual story.

Towering 20 meters above the ground, “In Her Future Memories” is the biggest creative mural in the South that is expected to draw multitudes of art lovers and visitors to South Park District, a 6.6-hectare master planned mixed-use development in Alabang, Muntinlupa City that is home to 2 Avida residential developments which are Avida Towers Ardane - a pre-selling property, and Avida Towers Altura - a move-in ready home, right across the South Park Center and South Park Corporate Center.

Officials from Avida Land were present at the official unveiling of the completed mural.

Avida Land's Marketing Head, Tess Tatco, beams with excitement for South Park District's newest attraction. The towering mural joins Reginald Yuson's existing installations, painting a vision for South Park as a vibrant place to live and thrive. Tatco envisions not just Avida residents, but people from different cities visiting the mural in person. “Come see ‘In Her Future Memories’ for yourself,” she invites everyone, “and step beneath the towering canvas, feel the pulse of the city and nature merge, and rediscover the charm of the South.”

Ulysses Jose N. Rosal III, Business Development Manager at Davies Paints, shared his excitement to have been part of the production of one of the biggest murals in the entire country.

The mural’s creative team designed the art piece to adhere to the competition’s theme of “Part City, Part Nature, Pure South”. It prominently depicts a female cyborg whose mechanical parts seamlessly blend with a backdrop of brightly hued tropical flowers, creating a fusion of technology and nature. On the left, where the flowers open up to the futuristic city skyline, onlookers are invited to imagine what tomorrow might bring.

Through its appealing imagery, the mural transports us to a world where concrete skyscrapers rise amidst vibrant flora, symbolizing a hopeful future where progress does not come at the expense of the natural world. It’s an image that evokes nostalgia and a feeling of deep connection to one’s hometown.

This artwork transcends its physical form, offering an opportunity for reflection and creative expression - where casual passersby and art lovers can capture their own special moment and share this online.

Amaia, Home of Pinoy Big Brother All In

Pinoy Big Brother, the Philippine edition of the popular foreign reality show Big Brother, comes back to ABS-CBN with a new edition called PBB All In and a new partner, Amaia, as the “Home of PBB All In.”
http://instagram.com/p/onRY_vsJTf/

Amaia is the official home of ABS -CBN’s Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) All-In, particularly Amaia Steps Novaliches.

I visited the Amaia Steps Novaliches, last Friday, May 30, 2014,  checking out the future unit of this year's ABS-CBN Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) All-In Winner.

Amaia Land Corp is the economic housing arm of Ayala Land Inc. that caters basically to the broad C market and offers residential properties that are below the 3.1M pesos economic housing cap.

In Spanish/Basque, “Amaya” means a high place,  which expresses the mission of the company of bringing into reality the fulfillment of the Filipino aspiration of owning their dream homes at an affordable price range.

“Maya” is also taken from the local sparrow, humble and courageous as it goes about providing for its family.

The developments are backed by the Makati Development Corporation BuildPlus (MDC) and maintained by Ayala Property Management Corporation (APMC).

Amaia Land Corp is divided into three product lines:

Amaia Scapes – Horizontal Developments (Outside Metro locations)
Amaia Steps – Mid-rise Vertical Developments (Near Metro Locations)
Amaia Skies – High Rise Vertical Developments (In Metro locations)

Pinoy Big Brother: All In is the fifth regular and eleventh season overall of Pinoy Big Brother, ABS-CBN. Toni Gonzaga, Bianca Gonzalez, Robi Domingo, and John Prats as hosts and Alex Gonzaga as member of the housemates. As part of the season's twist, the show have a mix of teen, adult, and celebrity housemates — a first in the show and in the entire Big Brother franchise.

PBB All In also marks the first time in the history of the Philippine version and in the entire Big Brother franchise that an edition features a mix of teen, adult and celebrity housemates.

Deriving its popularity from gathering a myriad of different housemates with clashing personalities and backgrounds as they reveal their true selves while inside the cordoned-off, closely-monitored by multiple cameras Bahay ni Kuya, the prevailing motto among the housemates is “Kaya ko nang magpakatotoo” which resonates with the “Kaya ko na” tagline of Amaia, the economic housing arm of top property developer Ayala Land.

For PBB All In, the familiar Pinoy Big Brother house just across the ABS-CBN headquarters undergoes major enhancements that bear the Amaia brand.

The winner of PBB All In takes home as part of his prize package a brand new condo unit at Amaia Steps Novaliches.

The grand prize, a 30 sqm unit at Amaia Steps Novaliches is a modern and contemporary-inspired mid-rise project and has good access to public transportation, schools, hospitals, and commercial centers.

It has quality features and amenities such as a swimming pool, basketball court, clubhouse, playground, landscaped gardens, and support retail for every family’s need.

PBB All In promises to be a showcase for the best traits of Pinoys such as perseverance, hard work, humility and resilience to come out as they perform daily and weekly tasks. These are the very traits that make up the guaranteed formula for success and provide one a chance at a good life and own an Amaia home of his own.

Where there are dreamers like the PBB All In housemates, Amaia will always want to have a part in making their wishes come true. Backed by Makati Development Corporation BuildPlus (MDC), and maintained by Ayala Property Management Corporation (APMC), Amaia Land is every hardworking Filipino’s dependable partner in building a bright and strong future.

Makati Celebrates 115 Years of Philippine Independence with Philippine Bamboo Flag Museum

The first Philippine Bamboo Flag Museum was launched yesterday, June 11, at the Ayala Triangle in Makati as part of the city's celebration of the 115th Philippine Independence Day.
Led by Ayala Land under its Make It Makati: Make It Happen campaign. Makati 2013 Independence Celebration is a three-tiered event that is all in the same breath experiential, educational, and entertaining. Makati celebrates Philippine Independence with Philippine Bamboo Flag Museum - with bamboo, a sturdy and versatile material that is also uniquely Pinoy as its main instrument.
(From left)Ayala Land vice president Meann Dy, Ayala Land President Tony Aquino, Makati Representative Monique Lagdameo and National Historical Commission of the Philippines Chair Maria Serena Diokno led the unveiling of the first Philippine Bamboo Flag Museum June 11 at the Ayala Triangle, Makati City
Makati takes the lead in mounting a grand event to celebrate 115 remarkable years of Philippine Independence being one of its signature events. The country’s leading city highlights the admirable spirit of resiliency and optimism of the Filipinos and how we were able to rise from all challenges and adversities.

The Makati populace and even visitors from neighboring cities should look forward to a new art expression of the flag with the unveiling of the country’s first ever Philippine Bamboo Flag Museum. It is a structure that showcases images and vignettes from our nation’s rich history through a gallery exhibit entitled “Grass: Routes of a Nation.” QR codes could also be found on some of the exhibit panels that provide visitors an interactive way to know more trivia about bamboo not to mention the actual bamboo music instruments that are available inside, which kids and adults alike will surely enjoy.
Standing 5 ft tall and covering 50sqm area, the Philippine Bamboo Flag Museum is open to everyone and will be on display from June 11 until July 31.
The celebration also featured Filipino artistry at its finest entertaining the community with a variety of Philippine Cultural Shows by the Palihang Hagonoy, a dynamic organization committed to the propagation of Philippine art and culture. Young talented performers sang Lawiswis Kawayan, a famous Waray folk song and displayed their dancing prowess with Tinikling, Singkil, and Palo Sebo dance numbers. Guests were also treated with the traditional Balagtasan (Filipino poetry) that intrigued the audience on which is more beneficial, the Bamboo or the Coconut Tree?
The likewise musically gifted Banda Kawayan from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines graced the occasion and awed the audience with their one-of-a-kind musical performances using bamboo instruments.
Indeed, there is no denying that the Philippines is a country with rich history and admirable values. It is a nation that has been dealt with the most harrowing catastrophes and misfortunes, beset with social malady, and reeks with a long history of colonization, and yet the Philippines has overcome all of these to stand proud, free, and resilient.
For more fun and excitement, on June 15, to add to the grandness of the celebration, families, kids, and friends especially art enthusiasts can participate in the Independence Sketchfest activity, an on-the-spot sketching competition where exciting cash prizes and consolation prizes await the winners. To also promote Filipino sportsmanship and celebrate our being world-class, people should look forward to a giant chess installation at the lawn area of Ayala Triangle Gardens that will also be available to the public from June 11 to end of July. Exhibition games are slated for various universities where they will be joined by world renowned Filipino Chess Master himself, Eugene Torre.

Just as the Philippines is fast gaining momentum as an emerging leader in Asia, Makati has consistently asserted and solidified its reputation as the country’s leading city that makes it all happen, the perfect venue for a one-of-a-kind Independence Day celebration.
The Independence Day celebration in Makati was made possible by Make It Makati, MasterCard, Philippine Star, Philippine Daily Inquirer, Manila Bulletin, Business Mirror, AXN, Banapple Pies and Cheesecakes, and Canon.
