MALL OF ASIA ARENA MAKES HISTORY IN ITS GRAND LAUNCH

The Mall of Asia Arena, world-class venue for the world-class Filipino talents finally holds its Grand Launch in a music event entitled “ICONS at the MALL OF ASIA ARENA.” 

This once-in-a-lifetime concert are some of the biggest names in the Philippine music industry from various generations including Lea Salonga,  Martin Nievera, Jose Mari Chan, Ogie Alcasid, Regine Velasquez, Basil Valdez, Freddie Aguilar, Dulce, Vernie Varga, Rachel Alejandro,  Christian Bautista, Erik Santos, Juris, Jed Madela, Piolo Pascual, Richard Poon, Bamboo, Arnel Pineda, and the singing group, The Company. The concert was commenced with the ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Ryan Cayabyab.

The event was hosted by Jim Paredes and Pops Fernandez. Fun, laughter and comic relief from the serious ballad songs , with TV personalities Pokwang, Jose Manalo, and Wally Bayola.

The Mall of Asia Arena is a celebration of the achievements and glory of the “World Class Filipino”, who never gives up in his dreams and the achievement of excellence. I'm thankful even not the main winner in a 'blogpost contest', but as a blogger, I was lucky to receive an invitation from Mr. Ferds Bondoy of Tatak Digitista to watch this concert as a member of the press.  I love music and this is one of my happiest time watching live the great performances of Original Pilipino Music icons and artists.


Also present at the ceremony were distinguished government officials including Vice-President Jejomar Binay, Sec. Armin Luistro, Sen. Francis Pangilinan, Former Senator Robert Jaworski, Maryo Antonio Calixto, Congresswoman Calixto Rubiano, Gov. Imee Marcos and Gov. ER Ejercito and big names in the entertainment industry such as Ogie Alcasid, Lea Salonga, Gabby Lopez and Charo Santos of ABSCBN.

Also revealed in this grand launch by Mr. Hans T. Sy along with Mr. Edgar C. Tejerero, Senior Vice-President of West Avenue Theatres Corp. is MoA Arena’s upcoming exciting event line-up.
